Modernizing Conservative Republicans and informing you of the events and elections.

CrimsonPolitics no longer supports neither the Republican Party nor the conservative movement (nor the tea party movement) nor the libertarian movement any longer. We've found that progressives and Democrats are simply more correct on a huge number of issues (social, economical, foreign policy) and we have changed our stances as a collective group. We also apologize if we mislead you about Obama, he has been doing a great job on the economy based on the evidence. (we still do not like Nancy Pelosi though, she is still corrupt; but honestly Newt Gingrich and John Boehner are much worse)

Alleged Terrorist or Convicted Terrorist

Brian Kane 26 February 2009

This was extremely hilarious, Power Line blog, posted an article they found by AP titled "Alleged Terrorist in Ohio gets 20 years in prison." Does anyone notice anything strange about this title?

alleged terrorist

Just look at his picture, such a lengthy beard is a sign of extremism and anti-westernization.

Of course, this wasn't the evidence for the trial, but usually when someone is convicted by a court they are considered guilty and not "alleged."

Furthermore, the guy pleaded guilty in court. I guess his own word is not enough to convince the AP.

As power line noted, perhaps some journalists are a little obsessed with the word alleged. In fact, I'm sure some of them believe that all the people in Guantanamo are 100% innocent and just picked up because they looked funny at an American soldier or they are there because someone informed the police without any evidence.

It's sort of weird how people behave in the media.
