Gas Dispute: Russia Cuts Off Gas Supply

Gas Dispute

Once again, Russia cannot avoid its imperialistic desire to bring Europe and other nations to its knees. During the cold winter months and gloomy financial times, Russia decided it's time to call in unverified and unproven debts and cut off the natural gas supply to Bulgaria, Turkey, Germany, Romania, Greece, Czech Republic, and Ukraine, because it claims Ukraine did not pay for the last supply.

Ukraine denies this and claims they did pay. Sounds to me like a very clear cut case of Russian Imperialism.

You may want to give the benefit of the doubt to Russia, but I urge you to think critically about this; Russia invaded Georgia last year, and demanded the Georgian leader resign, but instead Ukraine's leader and Georgia's leader held hands together and made speeches together in Georgia condemning the Russian attacks.

Is it a coincidence that ever since then this gas supply dispute has been growing? How hard is it to pay for gas during winter, that would be a top priority to pay for a country like Ukraine, they wouldn't risk it by not paying. They and other Eastern European countries are at the mercy of Russia.

I don't know why Russia always risks this, I always liken Putin's Russia to Hitler's Germany, people appease him constantly, and eventually they're going to realize the only way to stop Russia is war, and may lead to world war. Russia seems to be itching for this opportunity, maybe to use all 2,800 aircrafts sitting in their hangers.

Eventually as with all corrupt leaders with billions of dollars in an off-shore account, something will come back to bite Putin...

That's crazy, Russia is really pulling something there, I assure you.

They must have some sort of plan of course, as always part of their imperial strategy for world domination :).

Europe has plenty of coal, so they will not need Russia's gas, right. Oh, yea. Can't use it because of global warming. Good thing we are not that dumb here in the U.S. Our President would never stop coal production.

Let's hope so. Remember though Barack Obama is known for saying "I wanna bankrupt the coal industry."

That was my weak attempt at satire.

Yeah sorry, I just wanted to remind people of his quote against the coal industry.
