Modernizing Conservative Republicans and informing you of the events and elections.
CrimsonPolitics no longer supports neither the Republican Party nor the conservative movement (nor the tea party movement) nor the libertarian movement any longer. We've found that progressives and Democrats are simply more correct on a huge number of issues (social, economical, foreign policy) and we have changed our stances as a collective group. We also apologize if we mislead you about Obama, he has been doing a great job on the economy based on the evidence. (we still do not like Nancy Pelosi though, she is still corrupt; but honestly Newt Gingrich and John Boehner are much worse)
Harry Reid's Racial Comments
Once again the Democrats showed their hypocrisy by not acting on Harry Reid's racial comments. The Democrats would have been calling for his head if he happened to be a Republican. Although it is a double standard, I'm sure if some Republicans were in the Democrat's situation they wouldn't do much different either. Political parties do protect each other.
Harry Reid was apparently caught telling someone that the reason Barack Obama got elected is because of his "Negro Dialect". It's offensive and really surprising considering he's talking about the President. Apparently, Reid is pretty crazy when he talks behind closed doors.
Al Sharpton jumped to the defense of Harry Reid, but the niece of Martin Luther King Jr. is calling Reid's comments "sadly outrageous."
Just a week before MLK day, the idea that such talk exists is very sad considering the day and age we live in. The irony is, it's always Republicans who get the bad reputation of being anti-African-American.
Since the perpetrator was a Democrat, major news outlets won't make a big deal out of it. However, it will still be known as it is a huge story.
Just don't be surprised by this double standard as it has existed for many years. Harry Reid probably won't resign, and the Democrat party will just flood everyone with excuses. The news headlines will move on to other stories in the hope that all will be forgotten.
However, where this will hurt the Democrats is the 2010 election, so don't worry about it.
