Modernizing Conservative Republicans and informing you of the events and elections.

CrimsonPolitics no longer supports neither the Republican Party nor the conservative movement (nor the tea party movement) nor the libertarian movement any longer. We've found that progressives and Democrats are simply more correct on a huge number of issues (social, economical, foreign policy) and we have changed our stances as a collective group. We also apologize if we mislead you about Obama, he has been doing a great job on the economy based on the evidence. (we still do not like Nancy Pelosi though, she is still corrupt; but honestly Newt Gingrich and John Boehner are much worse)

Israel Attacks Gaza

Brian Kane 03 January 2009

Hamas Protest

Israel has once again attacked Gaza, and once again the media frenzy is jumping all over it. Displaying videos of dead Palestinians, interviews with Palestinians who experience the bombings, investigations of Israeli videos. My question is why isn't there as much attention to the Qassam rockets being fired by Palestine, or if it's not news worthy, then why is the Israeli attack on Gaza news worthy?

For some reason as soon as Israel does something everyone around me seems informed of it, but when Palestine does something very few people are informed.

The debate again starts whether Israel fired back disproportionate to the provocation.

Well that's a silly argument, in war there is no proportion. Did we respond to 9/11 by killing ONLY 3,000 Al Qaeda operatives? No we killed hundreds of thousands, destroyed Afghanistan, and mounted operations even into Pakistan borders, dropping thousands of tons of weapons. Was that proportionate?

Why didn't the media outlets debating disproportionate response talk about our response to AQ, weren't we too harsh on them too?

Hamas attacked Israel with missiles as soon as the cease fire expired. Now that is a provocation, it is clear that Hamas does not want peace, or maybe it wants Israel to attack again so that the whole world will get angry at Israel again, maybe that is the plan.

Guess what? Terrorism as a SCIENCE is that plan. Terrorism is not warfare, it is propaganda. Terrorists will plan attacks with minimum cost and maximum terror on their target, their target (Israel in this case) will respond with equal terror but will use uniformed soldiers and high technology weapons-- and terrorists know that when uniformed armed forces and high technology weapons with huge explosives start to appear the media rushes to get every footage it can, and meanwhile bring out the liberals to make accusations against the country.

In 9/11, the terrorists were hoping that when America gets angry they will bomb everywhere (which America did), and then the whole world would scream "disproportionate action" and "Why did you bomb this or that country, how is Afghanistan related to terrorists?" The plan backfired, people around the world supported Americas response because of the horrific nature of the terrorist attacks, much like when the Arab nations ganged up on Israel the first time.

However, the terrorist plot does not end there, after multiple attacks and multiple responses, eventually world opinion will turn in favor of the terrorists as people will begin to ask "Why are these terrorists doing this?" and "Maybe we are to blame for these terrorists, maybe we created them, maybe we funded them somehow, maybe we angered them and they had no other choice."

What people don't realize is, terrorists are doing all this, because of a couple reasons:
1) Nationalism and Solidarity (the power of sociology)
2) Hatred Solidarity (common enemy does not leave room for local leaders to be criticized)
3) Power (If you think Bin Laden has read and understood the Qur'an you are mistaken)
4) Money and Greed (as with all wars, money plays a big role, terrorists are actually gangs, they are a business)
5) Religious insanity (like many cults, these people begin to believe in their own fabricated ideology; especially when the founders start dying off and new young ambitious insane leaders replace them; they begin to believe that they are serving a higher power)

They look for evidence to justify their actions. And don't underestimate the human minds ability to fabricate evidence without facts to back it up.

A terrorist organization is simple. Think about a group of people who believe that JFK was assassinated by the government. The evidence shows clearly that JFK was indeed shot by Lee Harvey Oswald. All government agencies and researchers and groups who examined the evidence agree. But for this group of people it doesn't matter, they strongly believe that the government has done the job. This group of people eventually believe after collecting evidence (unrelated facts that the mind connects using really bad logic) decide they must take action. That is how terrorism evolves, through conspiracies, ideologies, and a tool to spread it (like religion), to get rid of that ugly conscience.

The point is, don't make a decision about this latest Israeli-Gaza conflict, until you have read the whole Wikipedia article and all the verified sources making sure you aren't making a mistake.

The Israeli-Gaza thing is a problem, and collateral damage occurs in every war, by any army. Don't think that Israelis don't care about Palestinians, don't think that armies are corrupt crazies that do not consider the lives of civilians when they conduct warfare. Don't assume that when the TV says "___ number of civilians died" that you should grab your protest banners and rush to the protest rally points, because you don't know the whole story.
