Modernizing Conservative Republicans and informing you of the events and elections.
CrimsonPolitics no longer supports neither the Republican Party nor the conservative movement (nor the tea party movement) nor the libertarian movement any longer. We've found that progressives and Democrats are simply more correct on a huge number of issues (social, economical, foreign policy) and we have changed our stances as a collective group. We also apologize if we mislead you about Obama, he has been doing a great job on the economy based on the evidence. (we still do not like Nancy Pelosi though, she is still corrupt; but honestly Newt Gingrich and John Boehner are much worse)
The Political Pendulum
Politics is a pendulum and everyone needs to realize that no matter how attractive or convincing the fringes are, they are never right. Understanding this, makes you realize why there is such an equal divide amongst the people of the United States between the two political parties. Have you ever wondered, how after so many decades, we still have only two major parties?
The explanation is simple. There are issues that the Democrats are right about and there are issues that the Republicans are right about. How do we know who's right? Scientifically analyzing the two issues without emotion using the scientific method can help you reach a more accurate conclusion. On every issue they have divided themselves between left and right, strategically, leaving no issues for other parties to use.
One of the biggest problems is the smoke screens created by both parties on issues they are wrong about. With the internet we have all the information in the world, but we still can't make up our minds, because the information is flooded with misinformation and invalid arguments.
Depending on the personal experiences and conversations of one person, one decides which party to vote for.
Do you Democrats want to defeat Republicans? Become hawks on foreign policy and national security, and then develop a strong economic policy that is fiscally conservative and embrace Reaganomics.
Do you Republicans want to defeat Democrats? Develop a more modern sense of social issues, begin to accept gay marriage (in fact, there's an easier way, just adopt the idea that only states should decide gay marriage legality), begin to accept that welfare, social security, public school systems, medicaid and medicare--because they will never be removed. Stop labeling people as socialist (it's too broad a term and there's too much disagreement), it's just not resonating with the people. Adopt the fact that, pro-choice has won and will be the future. And for Goodness sake, if you're a conservative and you don't believe in evolution, you need to go back to school and take a biology class.
As a conservative blogger, you may be asking why I'm asking you to change your perspectives on social issues as a conservative. I am asking you to change your perspectives because that is how you can defeat the Democrats, because this is where Democrats are winning.
One of the biggest problem, is fringe political commentators like Rush Limbaugh. I've listened to him for many years, and have realized that he contradicts himself more often than not. He's right about somethings, I'm not saying he's always wrong (which is why he resonates with some conservatives).
Take my advice because that is how the Democrats will be defeated. Reagan became extremely popular and was able to defeat his political opponents by adopting moderate positions and establishing a big tent Republican party. He did NOT focus on social issues during his presidency. He completely focused on national security and economy, his strengths!
If you want to defeat Obama, you have to jab him on his weak points--you have to hit him on economy and national security. Dick Cheney and Liz Cheney are doing a great job of this--other Republicans need to join them.

Great article, I agree Rush Limbaugh has been really radical these past few years. I think he's gone a little crazy and I stopped listening to his radio show.
Moderatism is the way to go, but the problem with that is determining where is moderatism on the pendulum, what issues make the difference and I think your perspective gives us a good idea.
I've never seen such a neutral article on a right-political blog before hehehe. Good article though.
Democrats becoming hawks in national security or foreign policy? Hah!!
That will never happen because they think everyone in the world grows up with the same American values as themselves (which is sadly not true).
Some of them even think if we behave nicely, people will stop helping extremists.
Hehe, nice pic btw, kind of surprised where Libertarian is, I suppose since it's not a 2D box, but rather a circle, it's a lot different than what I expected.
You know I really wanna read a book about reagan, I do really wonder how he demolished his opposition so easily twice in a row.
