Modernizing Conservative Republicans and informing you of the events and elections.
CrimsonPolitics no longer supports neither the Republican Party nor the conservative movement (nor the tea party movement) nor the libertarian movement any longer. We've found that progressives and Democrats are simply more correct on a huge number of issues (social, economical, foreign policy) and we have changed our stances as a collective group. We also apologize if we mislead you about Obama, he has been doing a great job on the economy based on the evidence. (we still do not like Nancy Pelosi though, she is still corrupt; but honestly Newt Gingrich and John Boehner are much worse)
Questioning President Obama
Politico questions what we really know about Barack Obama and lists some questions that Obama has yet to explain. Republicans have been asking these questions forever; was it not important enough because the left desperately needed a Democratic president, no matter who he really is?
The main questions Politico wants Obama to explain are:
- Does Obama think Afghanistan is winnable?
- Do deficits matter?
- Are we pulling out of Iraq too fast?
- How much will he rethink the left's ideology?
Of course, there are tons of questions Politico missed such as "How will you pay for programs you promoted during campaign?"
"Obama promoted non-interventionism except versus terrorism during the campaign, but will he be such a non-interventionist about Darfur if it gets worse?"
Well, we should at least thank Politico for asking some questions.
Obama seems to be promoting stimulus packages, incredibly huge bailouts (which make the Iraq and Afghanistan war debt look like NOTHING), so Politico was right to ask "do deficits matter?"
Hopefully journalists will continue to focus on their objectivity when judging Obama's administration and not give him the benefit of the doubt. We know some of them were very unfair to Bush and other Republicans this past year, and they have a lot to make up to gain back their credibility.
The main objective of each person in the United States is to support the president but always question his orders and methods to be absolutely sure that it is the best method and will not have unintended consequences.
A nation with a critical press corp and people is a successful nation.
