Republicans Confront Weak Republican Senators
The Republican party is in danger of having a weak response to the economic stimulus package which includes a lot of useless funding for worthless projects that will not help the economy. Republicans are taking action by calling and writing letters to their senators.
There are a number of Republican senators that firmly reject the stimulus package, among them, John McCain, Mitch McConnell, and Lindsay Graham, as well as many others.
However, there are a number of senators being very weak about the package. These are the senators Republicans are calling:
- Lisa Murkowski
- Thad Cochran
- Judd Gregg
- Mel Martinez
- Saxby Chambliss
- George Voinovich
- Richard Lugar
- Chuck Grassley
- Roger Wicker
- Lamar Alexander
- Susan Collins
- Olympia Snowe
- Michael Enzi
Although most of the senators in the above list "lean no" they are in danger of folding. They should be contacted in order to make sure they vote no.
Unless the package is seriously changed to actually benefit the economy and the useless spending on various projects is stopped, these Republicans need to display a firm NO.
I do believe John McCain was serious and sincere when he wanted to really put an end to lobbyist corruption of congressmen and pork-barrel spending in bills.
I cannot believe in these dire times, there are senators and congressmen out there who believe they can spend federal money (not their money) on useless projects. As John McCain said how he wanted to make sure you know their names, this is what we need to do.
If you know a senator constantly creating pork-barrel, we will make them infamous, just tell our team who they are.

I'd give him a bit more credit than that.
The RNC needs to understand that there are a lot of people who are REALLY angry about this bill and it's not "the rich," but hairdressers and salespeople, too.
The RNC needs to get the message out about an ALTERNATIVE. Get Ben Stein to explain what a "stimulus package" SHOULD be and that rushing headlong into approving this bill is dangerous.
Wait til Obama proposes the new T.A.R.P.- people are going to get even angrier.
I'm at the edge of poverty, personally, and the mess disgusts me. I don't base all my choices on how much money will come to me, I consider my grandchildren's future, first and foremost. If money is the issue I often "vote against my own best interests".
This country still is refusing to face the truth.
The Dems deny the truth because , IMHO, they are responsible for this entire situation and I even lean towards the thought they deliberately engineered it. Though that sort of decades-long devotion to a plan is something I don't believe is humanly possible.
Anyway, they're in charge now and the last thing they are going to do is say , oh yeah, everything we did to help enslave our serfs contributed to the global system failure.
No, instead they hammer day and night that it was Execs in NYC and boy , shouldn't we regulate their every move?" and that GOP phantom deegulation was the root.
Then you have the Permanent Committee for the Establishment and Maintenance of Perpetual Democrat Control of the Government of the United States.. aka, the MSM.
They aint going to say anything that makes the Dems look bad.
Then you have the Republicans... A party that shown time after time to be completely tone deaf to the times they are in.
When Market things really tanked in Sept that was the McCain and GOP's moment to set the record straight.
To make the Democrats own their creations, the stupidly named Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. To drive home that Wall Street was doing exactly what the Dems wanted them to and demanded they do.
Instead McCain is praising Andrew Couomo and blaming Wall St Greed.
Now you got these three braindead Senators patting themselves on the back of reducing a 999 Gazillion bollar bill down to 998.999999999 Gazillion dollars.
If voters dont know what the GOP stands for , can you blame them?
All I know is my country is being systematically disassembled and/or sold to China. and the GOP Politicians are even-tempered... acting like nothing is wrong.
The whole country is on fire and the GOP is walking up and down the theater asisles telling folks that even the entire roof is on fire, that they should remain calm and not to attack the arsonist because that would be rude.
